I am amazed that my favourite author also writes childrens stories. Not just any stories. I love this one. So gently told. I look forward to reading the following.

Michael Arnold on Dec. 26, 2013 :
First I want to say I was wrong. Wrong because I believed that you could not tell a good story less than 50 pages like I said I was so wrong this is a great story that was told in 8 pages!!!! Five thumb up way up!!!!

Peter Stephan on Dec. 19, 2013 :

What a great little story.
My wife downloaded it to read to her students at school.

Oh my goodness.
I was just checking out other work by this author when I found this one.
Absolutely delightful. A lot of meaning. Wonderful bookcover and picture at the end.
It made me smile. :)

Freda Mantor on Dec. 12, 2013 :
This was recommended to me by my family. I don't normally read childrens books as I'm way beyond that but after reading The Torans of Andor, (which I know children would enjoy) I read this. It only took me 5 minutes but what a tender story.
(I did Google the title) very clever.
Another wonderful fantasy from this author.
I recommend this for all age groups.

MaryJane Seeiso on Dec. 06, 2013 :

Glad to find something for kids that works as an Epub file.
Beautifully written story. My daughter will love this tonight when she's in bed.
Great cover and picture at the end. Hope this author writes more for kids.
5 stars.

 cassy arditt on Nov. 28, 2013 :
What a gentle little story. I was misled by the cover, maybe everyone was.
I agree with David, could be made longer, throwing in some adventures.
Great picture at the end which tells all.

 David Mantor on Nov. 27, 2013 :
I just bought another book by this author and thought I'd grab this for free.
Beautiful little read. Could be added to and make a lovely longer story for kids.
Loved the cover and the picture at the end. :)

 Kevin Fontain on Nov. 27, 2013 :

 Britanny Lowden on Nov. 12, 2013 :

I enjoyed it even though it was short.

 Trent F on Nov. 09, 2013 :
Lovely story. Very gentle and innocent, something most of us have lost. Definite meaning there and well presented.
Suggested reading for all ages.

 Stanley Willow on Nov. 09, 2013 :
My 13 year old daughter read this to her two younger sibblings. I sat reading my paper but stopped to listen too. What a wonderful story.
When my daughter finished she showed the picture at the end to the other kids, I had to get out of my chair to have a look.

 Samantha Kirk on Nov. 05, 2013 :
I grabbed this story for my 8 year old grandaughter.
She hasn't read it yet but I have.
Beautifully worded with emotion and innocence.
I've read the three titles published here by this author and the difference between each one is mindblowing.
Highly recommended.

 Daryn Walters on Nov. 04, 2013 :
I was surprised to see my favorite author had written something for children. I have a 10 year old daughter so I had an excuse to download this story. Written beautifully, once again this author has amazed me with their versatility.
I almost missed the last page, but once again this author has put in the 'twist' at the end.

Received another review on 28/1/14. After 27/ 5 star reviews placing Part 1 of Book 1 in the number 1 position of Highest Rating in Childrens Books it came as quite a surprise not to see it there. Another good review but the reviewer only left 4 stars which took the rating to 4.96 and moved its position to number 517. (Below all books with 1/5 star review)

It's a touch and go rating system as 27/ 5 star reviews and 1/ 4 star review can stop the downloads in its tracks.

If you enjoy any book at Smashwords (or any other retailer) please think of the author and leave a 5 star review as the consequences can be devistating and remove a good read to a place where other browsers can't find it.

Cheers L.A.

We liked finding the clues, the intrigue of not knowing who to trust in the variance of tribes. You really involve the reader in the chapters so its hard to put down. Excellent book, written very well with strength, without the use of vulgar language. Hig
